Audre Lorde's Story, and Response
I believed that Sisiter Mary is mean, like a unruly Nazi. Like a nazi she is unpredicatable, and you could never tell whether she was in a good mood that day or not. She wanted to hurt you, (i.e. telling her mother to not layer up so much so she can fell the paddle, spiltting the class uup into faries and brownies), and she will whether physically or mentally. She would always be right there to tell you how horrible you are, whether you did something right, or wrong. She did not tolerate children very well, and constantly got upset at them for very dumb reasons. They were strick and had dumb punishments for their dumb rules. Instead of teaching Audre's class, she expected them to know it already, and she wont help you. She spilts you up into the fairies, and the brownies, which is basically the smart section and the dumb section. This lowers the self esteem of some children, and other chilren raises it. This is truely unfair. She holds higher standards to the smart group and lower standards to the dumb group. It should be even all around the class, and she should teach them some things, then test them on it. That is so mean not to do this. The worse part I think is the humiliation that Audre is put into to because she broke her classes. The whole class had to pray for her, and give her "Hail Marys". It was an accident i'm sure, and all kids are curious. Sister Mary doesn't allow the children to be children, and that just isn't right. Its cruel, and its unfair.
